Memorial placed by McCoin family honor their son who lost his life in Vietnam and also honoring all veterans from Clarkton who lost their lives in twentieth century wars.

The memorial is a grey granite monument standing on a multi-tiered concrete base with a flag pole behind it.

The memorial is inscribed:

McCoin Memorial

Dedicated To The Memory Of These Young Men
Of Clarkton, Who By Their Unselfish Patriotism,
Have Advanced The American Ideals Of Liberty
And The Universal Brotherhood Of Man.
