Sherwood, Oregon is fast becoming a typical American "small town", complete with strip-mall shopping centers, several fast food restaurants, a movie theater (and a new Wal-Mart just broke ground in August, 2013), but venture just outside of the sprawling town center and past the subdivisions, and you can still find rolling farmland, several produce stands, and this u-pick blueberry farm.
The farm is owned by the Roshak family, and sells two varieties of blueberries (Blue Crop, Early Blue) as well as Marionberries and Raspberries. The participate in the Tri-County Fresh Farm Produce program (which means you will find them in the Tri-County literature and website where you will find their schedule, address and pricing), and also have their own website.
In addition to their berries, the farm is recognized by the fleet of old trucks that are often parked at the entrance to the farm, each painted or signed with the blueberry farm name and information.
These blueberry fields were planted in 1983 and they opened for u-pick in 1987. The current crop (2013) had an advertised price of $1.50 per pound, up to the last week when the price was $1.25. The farm furnishes clean 5 gallon buckets for you to use when picking the fruit.
