The webcam is mounted on the south side of the highway on the second light standard east of the Peterson Creek bridge. It seems like one is out in the country right here, but the highway skirts the southern edge of the older part of
Kamloops and is about to head through the western suburbs, for those heading west.
If you're travelling west and need to do some shopping you'll need to take the next exit to the north and backtrack a bit. Right here the highway is directly south of downtown Kamloops.
Kamloops is the last largish city you'll come across before hitting the coast. Though well north of the south Okanagan and the Boundary Country, Kamloops can be as hot as either in the summer, so you know they've figured out lots of ways to keep themselves cool when necessary.
K spent one summer on a ranch on the North Thompson River about 50 km. north of Kamloops. It was a
gorgeous place.
