This cemetery is nestled in a corner of the Victoria International Airport, almost completely surrounded by airport property, and is ringed by a high hedge which largely hides it from view.
The Brethour family were the original founders of the community of Sidney. In 1891, fifty acres of land owned by the Brethour family was subdivided into lots and registered as the Township of Sidney.
