Before you toss out that sofa, appliance or porch light, give Habitat for Humanity’s HabiStore a call. Your unwanted item may be just what someone else is looking for and, by donating it, you benefit as well.
You are helping to keep over 250 tons of material out of the local landfill.
Purchases made at the HabiStore help Habitat build houses for local families. Proceeds are used to buy nails, lumber, roof tiles, windows and doors…all of the items required to construct a home.
If you itemize, you may be able to take a tax deduction.
You will feel good about making a difference!
Items are sold at below cost prices and you never know what you might find! A stroll through the store may uncover cabinets, appliances, couches, hardware, paint supplies, toilets, housewares, tables, framed pictures, bed frames, bookcases….maybe even a popcorn machine or old stereo. The inventory changes every day. Staff and volunteers can also offer ideas about re-purposing an item in ways you never imagined.
