Over the back door to one of the oldest pubs in Randers, Don Quijote, you'll find this glass decoration. Originally, the window has been free so that light could shine through, but it has now been closed on the inside and can only be admired from the street.
I have not been able to find information on either age, artist or subject.
The motif depicts a man wearing a short robe and holding a hammer in his right hand. The letters T and H as well as what is likely to be a certain year, 1916 can be seen behind the man. The hammer has a resemblance to the god Thor's hammer Mjolnir, but if the man is ment to be Thor, this would be a highly unconventional way to picture him.
More likely the man is The Ingenious Gentleman Don Quixote of La Mancha. It seems this name has been connected to this building for longer than anyone can remember.
