Bob Feller was born on November 3, 1918 in Van Meter, Iowa. From this small town “Rapid Robert” pitched his way into the National Baseball Hall of Fame. His 18-year career was interrupted by a 4-years of service in the United States Navy during World War II. Bob Feller bypassed the minor leagues joining the Cleveland in 1936 at the age of 17. During his Hall of Fame Career he pitched in 3,827 innings during 570-games. He posted a career record of 266 wins and 162 loses with 279 compete game, and 44-shutouts. Bob Feller was inducted into the National Baseball Hall of Fame in 1962.
