The greenhouses and conservatory on the Sonnenberg estate are extensive. The are the first thing you see from the admissions booth at this private estate turned public park.

From the inception, these greenhouses hosted orchids, fruit trees, winter home for annuals for the formal gardens, even vegetables and flowers that were sent to the winter home of F.F. Thompson and Mary Clark Thompson on Madison Avenue, NYC, in the first decade of 1900's.

The central domed section of the conservatory contains palm specimens, with a coy pond and fountain at the entrance.
