The Deer Creek Trailhead provides access the east side portion of the Kaiser Loop Trail which takes hikers to Kaiser Peak, College Rock, and Nellie Lake. A small parking area (6 cars max) is located at the end of Deer Creek Road, the trailhead is a few hundred feet to the north.

The trailhead is located at the D&F Pack Station just north of Huntington Lake in the Kaiser Wilderness. No permits are required for day use. Camping is permitted with permits available by contacting the High Sierra District Ranger Station in Prather, CA
