This reference mark is located at the north end of the historic Depoe Bay Bridge on U.S. Hwy. 101 in Depoe Bay, Oregon. The cap is located in just beyond the top of the stairs on bridge’s east side. The cap was set by the U.S. Coast & Geodetic Survey in 1952 and was stamped REEF NO 1.

DESCRIBED BY NATIONAL GEODETIC SURVEY 1987 20.8 KM (12.90 MI) NORTH FROM NEWPORT. 20.8 KM (12.90 MI) NORTHERLY ALONG U.S. HIGHWAY 101 FROM ITS JUNCTION WITH U.S. HIGHWAY 20 IN NEWPORT, IN THE CENTER OF THE NORTH END OF THE EAST SIDEWALK OF THE BRIDGE SPANNING DEPOE BAY INLET, 22.0 M (72.2 FT) EAST OF TRIANGULATION STATION REEF, 13.1 M (43.0 FT) EAST OF THE CENTERLINE OF THE HIGHWAY, AND 0.8 M (2.6 FT) NORTH OF THE NORTH EDGE OF A STAIRWAY. THE MARK IS 0.2 M ABOVE THE HIGHWAY.
