Beautiful church that has been rebuilt several times over the centuries since it began life as a Benedictine Monastery in the 11th century. Rebuilt in 1789, was secularized in 1803 and became a protestant Church in 1806, the first in Würzburg. Totally destroyed during WW II, but rebuilt after the war. A blue plaque with gold and white lettering on the side of the church reads:
