This is one of two cemeteries named King in Barry County, and the larger of the two. The other cemetery is also known as Kane, although there are no Kanes buried there and a lot of Kings. According to FindAGrave, there were 652 interments at King Cemetery at the time of this waymark posting, including a lady from our church who passed away just 9 days before I stopped by to get photos of the cemetery. Although there are some graves without dates, the earliest recorded grave is from 1856.
