The Clarington Public Library has 4 branches throughout the Municipality - Bowmanville, Courtice, Newcastle and Orono.
The Branch in Orono is located in an 1880's era former private mansion that was sold to the town of Orono in 1969 at the behest of the owners. The library opened its doors in 1970.
The library owns some 9,000 items in its collection. There are 5 computer stations and 1 early literacy station. All is housed in a 3,500 sq ft facility.
There is a gazebo on the grounds, used for concerts and other social events.
