Today this is public land, so no trespassing is involved. Most of it is BLM owned, part of the Otay National Cooperative Land and Wildlife Mgt Area. Aside from the bunker, the mountain affords some incredible views, and is home to the Tecate Cypress, roadrunners--beep, beep--horned lizards, the border patrol, and undocumented migrants. There is also an abandoned homestead along the route with a windmill, wooden outhouse, foundations, and a small pond.
