Beginning Mid June until mid October the Trail Market on the Esplanade will occur every two weeks on Friday from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm.

This year is the second annual farmer's market and has tripled in size from last year. We visited the market Friday, and were so surprised to see all the activity and the new vendors. We spoke with Christa from the Visitor's Center and it is planned that the Trail Market will continue as an annual event and they expect it to continue to expand.

The market was bustling with activity as customers were buying fresh cherries from the Okanagan, other fruit and vegetables, flowers and herbs. Other vendors were offering fresh baked pastries and breads, and homemade jams and honey.

Aromatic soaps and bath crystals, spice blends, food vendors, clothing, leather goods and almost everything from soup to nuts.

Local clubs and societies were available to answer any questions. The Trail Visitor's Centre provided a large assortment of free local travel information.

Local artisans were offering their creations: pottery, jewelry, photographs, paintings and other interesting crafts.

We had so much fun and plan to return again. Well worth checking this Farmer's Market out when in Trail.
