The Northbridge Civil War Monument is located on the town common in the village of Whitinsville at Linwood Avenue and Church Street.

The Civil War monument in Whitinsville is a bronze and granite structure about 25' tall. Rising from three sided granite base are three Ionic columns supporting an ornate platform topped by a sphere and a bronze eagle with its wings outspread. The sculptor of the monument was Hermon A. MacNeil, A. D. E. Hamlin was the architect, James Anderson the carver and the Booth Brothers were the contractor. The monument was dedicated on August 4, 1905.

Three sided base is decorated with palm leaves and contains the names of twelve battle sites:

ANTIETAM
SPOTTSYLVANIA

The front is inscribed 1861 and 1865 inside of wreaths. Also, a bas relief of a nude male in front of a flag, holding a shield in his right hand. On either side of the figure is the dedication:

The other two sided are each inscribed 1861 and 1865 inside of wreaths and have an alphabetical list of names.
