Pulverturm is a remnant of the medieval city fortification of Zofingen and one of the landmarks of this town.
Since 1948 the tower has been rented by the Zofingen Artillery Association and is used as their clubhouse. In 1975 they acquired this howitzer to put it on display next to the tower. It was built in 1912 and modernized in 1939. In 2006 the howitzer was renovated.
