EN: The Neuhaus in Zofingen was built in 1770 by Jacob Jahnn Ringier for the merchant Franz Friedrich Seelmatter-Senn. The distinctive symmetrical building with a mansard roof and basket arch windows is a witness of a prospering middle class in the late 18th century; the house was converted to a bank office in 1863.
DE: Das Neuhaus in Zofingen wurde 1770 von Jahnn Jakob Ringier für den Kaufmann Franz Friedrich Seelmatter-Senn erbaut. Das markante symmetrische Gebäude mit Mansarddach und korbbogigen Fenstern ist ein Zeitzeuge eines zu Wohlstand gelangten Bürgertums; seit 1863 befindet sich hier eine Bankfiliale.
