On June 23, at about 7.30 PM local time, Daredevil Nik Wallenda complete a high-wire walk on a part of the Grand Canyon, 1,500 feet above the Little Colorado River.

The event was broadcasted live in 128 countries and while we were glued to the TV, it struck us: We have been there!

The place is called Little Colorado River Gorge.

The sheer cliffs of this easternmost part of the Grand Canyon are located just outside the National Park in the Little Colorado River Navajo Tribal Park.

Above and below are the pictures we took when we visited the place.

Discovery Channel has the complete rights on the story and also has a website devoted to it.

The first newswire we found - just minutes after Nick finished the walk into the history books was from Reuters.

We may add more information, as the story unfolds.
