The Butterfly Garden was established in 2001 by the parents who wished to remember their children. Please take the time to read the plaque about the garden, and the names on the plaques. Out of respect to the parents and children, the names are not listed here.
The Garden is located in Millennium Park which was the 2000 project for the city of Peterborough.
There is a large boulder with a brass marker attached. The marker simply reads:
Our Children Remembered
With a resting butterfly emblazoned underneath.
There is an information kiosk, presenting the information contained in the attached newspaper article.
There are several markers positioned in and around the Gardens areas each bearing several names.
This is a very peaceful, reflective setting, containing benches, a pathway and a wonderful view of the Trent Riverside.
