Der Diezer Wasserturm befinden sich am Rande des Hains, dem Stadtwald von Diez. Früher war der Turm für die Wasserversorgung und den notwendigen Leistungsdruck zuständig, allerdings ist er schon lange außer Betrieb.
Der Turm ist vergleichsweise niedrig, die Höhe beträgt ca. 15 m. Die umliegenden Bäume überragen ihn teilweise, so dass der Turm aus der Entfernung nicht zu sehen ist.
The former watertower of Diez is located inside the Hain, which is the municipal woods of the city of Diez. The tower used to supply water with the right pressure, but is out of service since many years now.
The tower is not too high, approx. 15 meters only. Many of the surrounding trees are at least equally high, thus the water tower is not visible from a distance.
