This caboose, along with a box car, from the Bath-Hammondsport line used to sit on a disabled section of track on the waterfront in the village of Hammondsport, next to the train-station-turned-dentist-office. When the Glan Curtiss aviation museum moved to the form Gold Seal winery, the caboose was moved to be preserved as a museum piece.
Although you don't need to pay the museum entrance fee to see this up close, you do need to plan your visit during museum hours, as it is inside the gates, which are locked when the museum closes. The museum is open until 5 PM Saturdays and Sundays.
Current Use: Museum static display
Type Of Caboose: Cupola, "Standard"
