This is one of three flora signs which can be found in this small historic district. There are more species of trees here than at which one can shake a magnolioideae.

There are 56 species of trees cataloged on this interpretive including their the specimen name and its botanical name. Terracina's grounds represent informal, free-flowing, Victorian patter contrasting with the formal, orderly, and symmetrical Georgian fashion. The handsome Linden tree on the front embankment is complemented by the large sycamore which dominates the back yard. (from the interpretive) A map of the grounds with numbered trees and bushes correlates with the long lists of referenced flora.

There are a series of markers scattered throughout this small historic district, especially in front of all the contributing structures, including this one. This is one of three flora interpretives (I have found so far) at the historic district. The markers are the standard interpretives, held horizontally, thick black, frame, tilted for good viewing and maybe 3 or 4 feet off the ground.

The other two markers in the series of flora interpretives are:
1. Graystone Grounds
2. Charles L. Huston House Grounds

The interpretive is located in the back yard, down the steps and a few steps down the path, just before the confluence of this path and the one curving around from the proper right side of the house.
