Giddings was a major railroad center a century ago. This mural on the H. & T. C. Freight Depot features people who actually lived and worked in Giddings in the 1920's. An example is the lady beside the ticket office in the green dress and fancy hat, Mrs. M. O. Rigsby who owned a hat and dress shop. She is there picking up a hat box that came by freight to the depot. Part of the mural includes a description of who each of the persons portrayed were.
