The Wingwatcher's Nature Trail is a pretty-well maintained birdwatching, walking and running trail along Lake Ewauna. There are numerous bird species to enjoy along your walk, including the ever-popular white pelicans which are the city's logo. The trail is basically a loop that starts out at the west end and meanders east and then splits into a path going along the Lake Ewauna lake edge where lots of bird species can be viewed or to the south where there are many trees that have small signs designating which breed they are.
This trail is not very long in distance but there are lots of animal species to be noticed. This includes muskrat, turtles, small fish feeding along the lake banks, frogs and even an occasional snake. For such a small area there is plenty of wildlife to be seen.
Enjoy the walk!
