Globe has sent two of her citizens to the highest office in the State. George Hunt was the first Governor of the State of Arizona. Rose Mofford became the first woman Governor of the State of Arizona. This mural honors them both. It features them at various times as well as a mini biography of both Governors. Both Governors were pioneers in education, and it was fitting the mural was designed and painted by a group of Globe students.
