Located near the bottom and to the right of the front steps of the Saugus Town Hall, this memorial honors Saugus residents who served in The Great War. It is a large bronze plaque that is surrounded by a decorative wooden structural frame. Above the plaque on the frame it reads:
SAUGUS
HONOR ROLL
With a depiction of the American Flag waving between HONOR and ROLL.
The plaque is decorated with three small seals along the top with a soldier standing at attention on the left side and a sailor standing at attention on the right side. Both are holding their rifle with bayonette. The marker reads:
DEDICATED TO THE
MEN AND WOMEN OF SAUGUS
WHO SERVED THEIR COUNTRY IN THE WORLD WAR 1917-1918
Below that are 461 names listed in seven rows.
On the top left of the plaque it list those who served on the Honor Roll Committee. On bottom left it reads:

On the bottom right, it reads:
