Kate Mae "Katie" Hall, 102, died Thursday Feb 11, 1993, in Klamath Falls, Or. Mrs. Hall was born in 1890 in Manton, California to Lester Herrick and the former Amanda Armentroug. She was married to Robert Hall in Red Bluff, Calif., in 1911.

In 1923, they moved to Kirk and later to Chiloquin, where they owned and operated a laundry business. That was followed by her employment as a janitor at the school in Chiloquin. She became postal clerk for the U.S. Post Office in Chiloquin in 1944, retaining that position until retiring in 1960.

Her hobbies included fishing, hunting, gardening and a love of nature.

She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Alma and Harry Elliott, Klamath Falls, Or., daughter-in-law Marilyn Hall, Chiloquin, Or., granddaughters and husbands, Louise and Gary Page, Ft. Klamath, Or., Janet and Larry Severson, Florida; Lorraine and Vince Garcia, Lee, Nev., Roberta and Marvin Garcia, Chiloquin, Or., Valerie Owens, Chiloquin, Or., grandsons and wives, Lyle and Diane Hall, Eugene, Or., Lloyd and Bonnie Hall, Chiloquin, Or., Lawrence and Ann Hall, Ft. Klamath, Or., sister Ann Splitoff, Montana; 20 greatgrandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert F. Hall, in 1962, sons Earl Hall, Robert Hall and great grandson Dennis Zieglemeyer.


Mrs. Hall is buried in Aspen C Section 38 Plot 5 (the online post on FindaGrave.com is wrong). Katie is buried alongside her husband, Robert, in Klamath Memorial Park.
