In Boston's West Roxbury nieghborhood is the Saint Theresa of Avila Church.
The church is located on the south side of Centre Street. The church is a light stone structure with a main building, a bell tower and an addition off the side. Also to the rear of the property is the school associated with the church. The main portion has a an entrance surrounded by extensive frieze, topped by a figure. Above the figure is a round stained-glass window. The roof is peaked with the ridge going from front to back. The bell tower to the west is square, extends above the roofline, and is topped by four short spires.
I couldn't find a reference to the building of the church structure. The parish was formed on July 1, 1895.
The congregation has several services and missions. Some include the Catholic Charities Food Pantry, the Bereavement Support Group, and Caregiver Support Group.
