Este monumento está colocado no topo de um pequeno monte junto a capela da Senhora dos Emigrantes e foi colocado em 1973 pelo povo de Castelo do Neiva em honra daqueles que tiveram de partir para procurar melhores condições de vida. O monumento foi esculpido em pedra granitica e representa um homem com uma mala na mão.
No pedestal do monumento existe uma placa onde se pode ler:
" O POVO DE CASTELO DO NEIVA PRESTA HOMENAGEM A SEUS FILHOS EMIGRANTES 1973"

This monument is placed on top of a small hill near the chapel of Our Lady of Emigrants and was placed in 1973 by the people of Castelo do Neiva in honor of those who had to leave to seek a better life. The monument was carved in granitic stone and represents a man with a suitcase in his hand.
On the pedestal of the monument there is a plaque which reads:
"THE PEOPLE OF CASTELO DO NEIVA PAYS TRIBUTE TO HIS EMIGRANTS SONS 1973"
