This historic building was constructed in 1910 and serves as the home of both the Masons and the Oddfellows. Masonic Lodge #25 A.F. & A.M. was consecrated as the Sublimity Lodge by the Grand Lodge of Oregon on June 14, 1859. In 1863 the charter was surrendered but was restored in 1878 as the Santiam Lodge. Per the lodge website: "in 1906 a building known as the “Opera House” located on the corner of Washington and 3rd (Now the Stayton Manor Apartments) was purchased from Cyrus Clark for $1,100. The lower floor was rented out for dances, skating and other gatherings. In 1925 the Old Lodge was sold, and a ½ interest in the I.O.O.F. Hall were both Lodges still meet, was purchased for $3,000. In 1981 the building was remodeled, and all meeting are now held on the ground floor."
