Description of Memorial:
A bronze plaque on a stone base at the entrance to Legacy Park on the former Airbase. There are two other markers pertaining to other aspects of the airport flanking this marker. Today the base serves as the foremost civilian spaceport in the United States. A fitting tribute to the seemingly impossibly high standard set by those Marines that served here in years past.
