North, South, East, or West,
Rural delivery is simply the best.
They bring us the mail from miles afar,
Sometimes by bus, and sometimes by car.
Into this mail box, through the slot
Letters, Bills, and Junk mail I've got.
Then I start the machine and take a rest
While it sorts the trash and keeps the best!
The letters I grab and read in a flash,
While the rest self-destructs and turns into ash!
This unique mailbox contraption can be seen at a farm gate on Taihape Road, Otamauri, Hawke's Bay, near the junction of Otamauri Road.
