Here we are following the signs to the HÜMÜH Monastery, so after about 27 km we finally found the road to the monastery.
Just before we turned we spotted the "Catch and Release" sign and a nice spot on the North Kettle River to fish. There are rainbow trout noted in this river.
"Kettle River Project
The Kettle River watershed is part the Columbia River system in the Okanagan region of Southern British Columbia and Northern Washington State. The Kettle River has been referred to as one of British Columbia's most endangered rivers. Threats facing the Kettle River have included over-harvesting of fish, and habitat loss resulting from the degradation of riparian areas and loss of in-stream cover."
The HÜMÜH Monastery is about another 3.5 km down the forestry service road once you cross the bridge: not recommended in the late fall and winter and very early spring.
