The mural was created by Fred "Lightning Heart" Haberlein and measures 16 ft x 100 ft. It is one of many in the area that comprise the Murals of Conejos County Driving Tour, highlighting art that engages in the "ages-old local tradition of story-telling depicting tales of settlement, folklore, faith, scenic beauty and everyday rural life."
