In Quincy, in the lawn of the Bethany Congregational Church a short obelisk and time capsule.

The capsule is located near the corner of Coddington Street and Spear Street, buried near the corner entrance to the church. The capsule is next to a granite oblelisk and a few feet from a sign for the church, and about 20 feet in from the sidewalk along Coddington Street.

An article in Wickedlocal.com has information about these objects. These objects were installed as part of the church congregation's 175th Anniversary celebration on October 7, 2007 (the church itself was built in 1927). The church was formed from a group of worshippers in 1832. The square church bell tower is a landmark that can be seen quite a distance.

I could find no information about the contents or when it is expected to be opened.
