The Berkeley Moon Tree was planted in Tilden Park on July 26, 1976, America's Bicentennial year.

The tree stands just outside and to the left of the entrance of the Tilden Nature Area Environmental Education Center, (as you are facing the building.)

This panoramic shot shows the Education Center with the tree on the very far left. Click on it for a larger picture.

There is no plaque. A long-time worker in the Education Center pointed the tree out to me at my request.

This is a panoramic shot of the tree in the context of a nearby bench

It was created with the excellent AutoStitch software package.

Type of Tree: Redwood
