Enjoy a panoramic view of downtown Fort Smith by way of an online high-definition video webcam that has been installed atop a 65-foot tower on the newspaper’s press building at 900 Rogers Avenue, Fort Smith, Arkansas.

The camera, dubbed Skycam, provides a continuous, live video feed of downtown sometimes facing west, sometimes east down Rogers Avenue, sometimes facing north towards South 10th & Rogers Ave. Coords for this page are for nearest good spot to stand when it faces west. Our photo uses coords for facing east, 035 23.001 N 094 25.250 W. A few days later the webcam was tilted up so you need to be on the sidewalk on Rogers across the street from Bancorp South. Check the webcam view before hitting the street.
The website link featuring the camera view also contains current weather data for Fort Smith and the region, as well as radar images and a five-day weather forecast.
Note the time you are there. The site has a DVR, with the time at the top of the picture feed, so you can move the white circle on the play timeline on the DVR to when you were there and Hold Control C Print Screen, then paste and save it. Sometimes the DVR shows up to 3 hours of images, sometimes a few minutes (if in HD?).
