The McKissick Library was completed in 1940. It was a P.W.A funded project which was built by the W.P.A. The building was designed by architect Henry C. Hibbs. It is constructed of Indiana limestone. The main entrance porticos have heavy Ionic columns. The building now serves as the McKissick Museum and also as the visitors center for the University.
