This Doppler radar jointly operated by the small-market CBS-affiliate TV station KOAM-7 and Fox-affiliated TV station KFJX-14 serves the communities of Pittsburg KS and Joplin MO.

We hope that its storm intensity information helped save lives in Joplin MO on 22 May 2011.
