This plaque is mounted on a large stone on the grounds of the St. Michael and All Angels Cathedral in Kelowna toward the rear of the cathedral.

The purpose of the plaque is to announce and celebrate the 100th anniversary of the founding of the Anglican Diocese of Kootenay in the year 1900. The plaque was unveiled by the most reverend Michael Peers, Primate of Canada, on October 1st., 2000. The diocese encompasses most of the southern interior of BC, from Princeton and Kamloops in the west to Golden in the north to Crowsnest Pass in the east and to the US border in the south.
This plaque is at what is now the Cathedral of St. Michael and All Angels, its having been dedicated as a cathedral in 1987.
