Hume-Fogg High School


OnThis site was errected in 1853, Nashville's first public school building.  Named in memory of Alfred Hume, an eminent educator, and known as the "Father of the Nashville Public School System"

On this spot was the site of a building in which the legislature of Tennessee met from 1813 to 1817.
