The Chicopee Korean War Memorial is located on the northwest corner of Memorial Green at Front Street and Bonneville Avenue.

The Chicopee Korean War Memorial is a 5' high irregular pentagon of polished black granite set on along its long edge on 1' high rectangular granite slab which is supported by a 2.5' rough cut granite base, polished and inscribed on one side.

The front of the black granite pentagon has a laser etch image of soldiers travelling over hilly terrain adjacent to a shoreline. A battleship is shown in the water while a helicopter and four airplanes are flying overhead.

Below the image is the inscription:

"THE CHICOPEE VETERANS ORGANIZATIONS ERECT THIS MONUMENT TO HONOR ALL
WHO SERVED IN THE UNITED STATES ARMED FORCES DURING THE KOREAN WAR.
JUNE 1950 JULY 1953
ESPECIALLY REMEMBERED ARE THESE 13 MEN WHO MADE THE SUPREME SACRIFICE
IN GIVING THEIR LIVES FOR THE PRINCIPLES AND FREEDOMS WE ENJOY."

The rough cut base is inscribed in three columns:

AT 0400 25 JUNE 1950 THE NORTH KOREAN ARMY INVADED ACROSS THE 38TH
PARALLEL INTO SOUTH KOREA. THE UNITED STATES ARMY FORCES PARTICIPATED
IN THE FORGOTTEN WAR AS A PART OF THE U.N. FORCES TO EXPEL THE ENEMY
FROM SOUTH KOREA. ON 27 JULY 1953 A CEASE-FIRE WAS SIGNED.
