This is a great spot on the edge of the Niagara Escarpment to take in the night view of much of the Golden Horseshoe. You can see clear across Lake Ontario and on many days the Toronto Skyline is visible, day or night. There is a large steel viewing platform here offering a great unobstructed view.
This waymark is located on Hamilton Conservation Authority property and as such you should pay an entrance fee (self-service) or display a valid annual pass. There are no facilities located here.
This area is a local attraction for its scenic views including the 37 metre (121 feet)high Devils Punchbowl Waterfall. The Conservation Area is bordered by steep cliffs, and it's over 120 feet to the bottom so do not cross the guardrails under any circumstance. There is no danger if you do no cross the guardrails, and it is a safe area for children as long as they also know to not cross the barriers.
Additional Waypoints and a number of geocaches area listed from this property
You can park within the parking lot or along Ridge Road. The property is always accessible and open but the gate to the parking area may be closed at night or through the winter. There is a posted sign stating that the gate is closed each night at 6pm but it was still open when we visited at 8 pm. It is a short easy walk from the parking area to the viewing platform.
