The Young Women's Christian Association Building was built 1909-1911 with the groundbreaking on June 10, 1909 and the building opening on May 4, 1911. The five-story brick building was designed architects Shattuck & Hussey. The building provided house for up to 200 women, many of which moved to the city seeking work. The building closed in 1976 due to a gas leak and the YWCA relocated to a new location.
The building now appears to be vacant and not in use.
