Im Zentralgebäude der Leipziger Stadtbibliothek am Wilhelm-Leuschner-Platz 10 - 11 gibt es viele Bücher und andere Medien.
Die Leipziger Stadtbibliothek geht zurück auf eine Stiftung von 4.000 Büchern im Jahre 1677. Sie wurde im Laufe der Zeit oft erweitert und umstrukturiert.
Erst 1991 zog die Leipziger Stadtbibliothek an ihren heutigen Sitz, das Alte Grassimuseum.
Das Alte Grassimuseum wurde 1894-7 durch Hugo Licht erbaut und bis 1927 als Museum genutzt, danach wurde es Messehaus, in der DDR-Zeit Kombinatssitz.
