The stores in this mall are relatively up-scale and include many Western chains such as this McDonald's, KFC, Pizza Hut and Swensens Ice Cream. There is a large traditional food court along with the numerous premium shops.

The Big C franchise of shopping malls and smaller stores is one of the fastest growing retailers in SE Asia, particularly in Thailand, but with outlets in Laos and Viet Nam.

This particular mall was previously the Carrefour, opened in 2001, but was branded as a Big C Extra after being acquired, along with 41 other Carrefour malls, in 2010 by Big Groupe Casino, the parent corporation. Big C malls come in various sizes and variation. The two dozen or so Extra malls trend to the high-end premium shops and services.
