This historic bridge is located on the Wild Rice River, a tributary of the Red River of the North. Roughly 250 miles long, this bridge is located about 1.5 miles Southwest of where the river feeds into the Red.
The original deck of this bridge was built in 1953 by the Jardine Bridge Co, Inc. of Fargo, ND. Due to remodeling, the bridge was rebuilt in 2001 using a cast instead of the previous concrete deck. Before the remodel, the bridge was named to the National Registar of Historic Places. The concrete beams used on the current bridge are also prestressed concrete, just like the original deck.
