NZ0107 - USGS '3810' - Klamath County, OR - U.S. Benchmarks on Waymarking.com

I recovered this U.S. Geological Survey benchmark from 1905 in good condition. It is imbedded in bedrock of a rocky outcrop about 15 feet east of the water's edge of Topsy Reservoir. The disk face has been pried on two edges but the integrity of the disk is still in good shape. This benchmark is also listed on a topography map as 'BM 3811'. There is the elevation stamping of '3810.209' AND the number '9' in addition to the designation and year stamping. The NGS datasheet description is very adequate for station recovery. Parking just off Topsy Grade Rd and walking to the disk is the best method of locating this station. The NGS coordinates are slightly off but my posted coordinates will place you much closer to the station.
