The Albufeira Traffic School is open since January 2002. The principal school goal is to decrease accidents on our roads through the education of users who attend this school.

The activities of the school have as target audience, children who attend kindergartens, schools of the 1st, 2nd and 3rd cycles of near Albufeira and also other municipalities of the Algarve.

This activities are undertaken with two training components, one theoretical, the other practical.

1. Theoretical sessions

With the theoretical sessions, it was intended to teach children the basic rules and principles necessary for a safe and healthy coexistence among road users, as well as the most basic traffic signs, traffic rules as pedestrians, cyclists and passengers, the to adopt preventive behaviors, among others.

2. Practice sessions

Following the theoretical session, the young road users spent the practice session where they applied the theoretical knowledge acquired by simulating traffic situations of everyday life, on the track of movement.
